Issue: Downloading a file is blocked by IE when using the web client

  2. Select Local intranet zone.

  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Add the following to the zone and click Add. You can find out your specific FileHold server name by referencing the login page of the WebClient.

By default, Internet Explorer displays pop-ups that appear as a result of you clicking a link or button. Pop-up Blocker blocks pop-ups that are displayed automatically (without you clicking a link or button). If you want to allow a specific website to display automatic pop-ups, follow these steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer (IE).
  2. Click the Tools button, click Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  3. In the Address of website to allow box, type the address (or URL) of the Filehold web site that you want to see pop-ups from, and then click Add. For example:

http://FILEHOLD

Issue: Disabling automatic cache in IE

To avoid weird situations where you make a change but the change does not stay when you verify your change. For example, you change a Cabinet membership property using the Web Client. 2. Select the General tab.
  3. In the section Temporary Internet Files, click Settings.
  4. In the Check for newer versions of stored pages area, select the option labeled  Every visit to the page.
  5. Click Save.
