FileHold manufactures and sells feature rich electronic document and records management software, all over the world. The company is seeking a knowledgeable IT person to perform customer installs, upgrades, respond and solve technical issues, and work with other team members on customer implementations. All of this work is performed from the Burnaby based office using remote support and collaboration tools (Citrix Go to Meeting).
The company is a 100% Microsoft based software product so the successful candidate will have deep understanding of Microsoft product specifically: Windows desktop operating systems, MS SQL server 2005/2008/2012/2014, Windows Server 2008/2012, Microsoft Active Directory 2008/2012, .NET, as well as IIS Web server version 7.x and 8.x. Ideally the candidate may have some Microsoft certifications on these products. They will also have a general understanding of normal IT tools and best practices such as enterprise data backup software, firewalls, network administration, DNS, security, virtual server deployment and data migration. Previous experience supporting web applications and/or Microsoft web services based applications would be a plus. Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required.
Candidates who have had experience with document scanning / imaging projects or other forms of document and records management processes will be considered more carefully.
The support position reports to the VP of Customer Service who will assign the work to schedule and perform new installs as well as install upgrades to existing customers, and to work on customer projects. When not working on installations the employee will be a responder to customer technical support requests. Additional duties may include sales support, QA, documentation, and helping manage the internal IT infrastructure.
