FileHold 17 with new features and modern technologies is receiving Positive Customer Responses.

FileHold is pleased to report that FileHold 17, released in late November, has been very well accepted by our worldwide customer base.

Leading the list of customer-appreciated capabilities is the adoption of a totally new authentication technology, using services like Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (AAD), SecureAuth, and other OAuth solutions working seamlessly between the FileHold web application and the desktop client.  Technology improvements include upgrades to the latest dot net core and framework components to provide performance and security enhancements.

E-signature is an increasingly asked-for feature to automate the capture of legal signatures on important documents.  FileHold has been working with Adobe Acrobat Sign for some time, and now FileHold 17 is compatible with DocuSign, the largest player in the electronic signature marketplace. Both signature tools allow users to initiate correspondence with their clients, capture an authenticated signature and securely store the document back in the repository without leaving FileHold workflow.

Government and other large organizations now have the option to insert a terms and conditions gateway to their users’ access to the system via a highly configurable warning banner. Acceptance and rejection of access conditions are fully logged along with other access activities. Other enhancements include viewing support for additional Microsoft Office file formats and improvements to PDF and TIFF server-side compression.  The included document scanning software from SmartSoft now has an upgrade path to Capture + with a more powerful OCR engine.  As with every release, FileHold has made performance and other minor improvements found by our QA team and reported by our customers to improve overall responsiveness and user-friendliness.  To learn even more about FileHold 17 go to https://www.filehold.com/features/filehold-17-release.
