There are two ways to try before you buy:

1. In-house Server and desktop client installation: the software can be tested within your network on your server hardware behind your corporate firewall. The software is the same full version you would receive upon purchase so it just takes a simple change of the FileHold licensing key to move from a trial into a production environment. All work setting up document schemas, metadata, and scanning interfaces will move into production. This trial installation requires a dedicated server or a virtual Machine (VM) environment. This is the perfect path for organizations who need a "proof of concept" to confirm they can get the value from the software that is needed.



2. Direct Access to the FileHold Demonstration server: FileHold hosts this server system on our premises for this purpose.


There are two easy options for the FileHold Demo Server:

Option 1: We will help you install our rich desktop tools and you can enjoy the full features of FileHold from your desktop with just a few minutes of installation work. Our demonstration server is a perfect opportunity to evaluate the user interface and speed of use from a remote server.

Option 2: We provide access to our demonstration server via Windows 2008 Server Terminal Services. Windows Terminal Services, is one of the components of Microsoft Windows (both server and client versions) that allows a user to access applications and data on a remote computer. This does not require any installation on your desktop.

A tiny remote desktop (RDP) file is sent via email that you can click to launch your remote access session. We also provide a simple how-to-guide of how to login with your user name and password.

Once you login to the system, you will have a rich environment containing MS Office 2007, the FileHold desktop client and integrated file viewer, and FileHold web client access in both Internet Explorer 7 and FireFox 3 versions.

We also supply PDF training documentation, and self guided training PowerPoints to help you with your evaluation of FileHold. It should take no more than 1 minute to understand how to log into the system. We can also help you with this option via Citrix GoToMeeting support session.

Preparing for a trial
FileHold is easy to install and easy to use but at the same time it is a very powerful product that makes extensive use of needed Microsoft components. Installing and testing these components will take some effort and FileHold will help in the process. From our experience, we have learned that trials perform best when both the users and the IT department have been prepared so we ask for the following preparation steps:

1. For the users / testers: of the system we recommend attending one or more of the live document management webinars we conduct to learn about FileHold features that will be available for you to work with. You should also take some of the video tours on the FileHold web site that make it easy to learn the fundamentals.
2. For the accounting or business expense managers: we would like you to know how affordable FileHold is so that you can plan your budget accordingly. 3. For the IT Specialists: Confirm that you have the needed It components to install the trial. To read about the system requirements, visit our system requirements page. Once these are confirmed to your sales representative FileHold will supply an easy to follow preparation guide and walk you through the document software installation process.

Installing FileHold and keeping costs Low
Your document management software will be delivered using our remote installation services via Citrix Web Conferencing software. We work with your IT administrators, document librarians and users using "Go to Meeting". Citrix GoToMeeting web conferencing allows the customer IT department and FileHold support to work together to install the FileHold server software and anything else required. This method does not provide FileHold Systems Inc any type of permanent remote access to the server. This is a secure way of working with your system and leaves you in control at all times. This approach has been proven with 100% of our customers. The advantages of this methodology are both cost and time savings:

• No travel time or costs are incurred
• Schedules can be changed on fairly short notice - we are flexible
• The very short times that IT staff can dedicate to a single project can be accommodated
• The entire work day is available to find the best time
• Multiple people at different locations can be accommodated at the same time
• In the event of something preventing the installation on the server, the installation can be rescheduled when steps to remedy the issue are made
• Training can be in delivered in manageable pieces to allow implementations to occur at a fast or slow pace, depending on your requirements
