About EMC Captiva QuickScan Pro (QSP) Software

QSP is an “out-of-the-box” desktop document scanning software solution. QSP enables organizations to scan documents in batches, view automatically separated documents, and manipulate files before exporting them to document repositories in popular file formats.

This desktop scanning software can stand alone or easily integrate with the document management system, serving as the scanning software module for delivering, enhanced images into the FileHold repository to provide a totally secure, managed library of documents. QuickScan Pro is ideal for small and midsize businesses, as well as departments within larger organizations, to eliminate manual paperwork and automate the handling of thousands of documents.

Choosing the Right QSP Software for your Document Scanner

The functionality of QSP is delivered in four product levels based on the speed and capabilities of the document scanner being used. The more powerful the scanner is, the more scanning functionality that needs to be supported.

For example, a level 1 scanner may scan in only simplex mode; therefore simplex on the level 1 scanner is only supported. For a more complex level 3 scanner or a production scanner, there might be duplex scanning, multi-thread, or a document feeder that needs to be supported by the QSP software.

The higher levels of QSP are more expensive because there are more features and functionality to support in a higher level of scanner. These scanner complexities are reflected in the different manufactures suggested retail price (MSRP) of the QSP software:
