Workflow Document Management Software: How to Setup my Workflow
Notification & Delegation Preferences- FAQ
How do I access my personal workflow preferences?
To access your personal workflow preferences page simply right click on
the Review & Approvals node of the library tree and select the Workflow
Preferences menu option.
How do my workflow preferences work in conjunction
with my task list?
The workflow preferences work in conjunction with a users task list by
providing users with the option to be notified by email - in addition
to the task list - when specific workflow events occur that involve them.
Workflow preferences are unique to each user.
What workflow events can I be notified of by email?
As shown in the below screenshot, users can configure their workflow preferences
to notify them by email when a variety of workflow task events occur including
when tasks are assigned or delegated to them, when tasks assigned to them
are overdue and more. Simply check the box beside the event you would
like to be notified of by email and click apply to save your setting changes.

What does the email alert frequency option do?
The email alert frequency option allows users to determine when they would
like to receive their workflow email notifications. For example, by setting
this preference to send a daily summary, users will be email notified
at the end of the day for all workflow events (they have elected to be
notified of occur) that occurred that day.
What does the task delegation setting do?
When activated the task delegation setting will automatically delegate
all tasks assigned to the user to a different user. This is designed to
allow workflows to continue in the event that a user is unavailable for
work due to vacation, sabbatical or illness. Users can also manually delegate
individual tasks from their task list. Use the following link to learn
more on how to interact with my workflow
task list.
