What does the user preferences page do and how does this help me?
The user preferences page allows users to edit their contact and password information as used by FileHold. This includes the users account information, contact information, company information as well as default language preferences. The below screenshot shows the user preferences page as shown from the FileHold Desktop Application. Users can also access their user preferences page from the web client in the same manner as described above. The general section covers the users account settings while the contact and company information tabs cover contact and company info respectively.

How can I change my user password? Why can I not update my password?

To change the password you use to logon to FileHold click on the change password button from the User Preferences > General settings section. The Create a New Password form will appear asking you to enter and confirm your new password. Complete this form and click OK to complete your transaction. This change will take affect the next time you logon to FileHold. Note the ability to change your password is only available to locally managed user accounts. These are accounts that are directly added to and managed by FileHold. The change password feature is not available for user accounts that are synchronized between FileHold from Active Directory server (these users are called domain users). Contact your network administrator if you need to change your domain password. Use the following link to learn more about synchronizing users with Active Directory server.

How can I change my FileHold account username / user ID?
You are not able to modify your user name in the user preferences page. Contact your FileHold system administrator if you need to modify your accounts user name.

How can I change my FileHold language settings?
To change the working language that FileHold is using simply select the new language and click apply. If the language you are looking for is not available please contact your network administrator and ask them about obtaining additional language packs from FileHold.

What if the email address is not the email account I want to be notified at?
The email account in the general section of the user preferences dialogue is by default the one used to email notify users for workflow or documents notification events. To have the notification preferences sent to another address, enter the new email address directly in your My Alert Preferences or My workflow preferences forms.
