Document Management: What are the different actions I can perform on Drawers?

There are a variety of actions or functions that users can perform on Drawers. Actions are accessible from the contextual menu associated with a given Drawer by either right clicking on the Drawer name - if accessing FileHold using the FileHold Desktop Application - or left clicking on the down arrow associated with the Drawer – if accessing FileHold using a web browser.

In order for a user to see a Drawer that they want to perform actions on they must be a member of the Cabinet that the drawer belongs to.

The following actions can be performed on Drawers. The availability of actions is dependent on the rights that users has.

Action / Function What the function does Who can access the function
Open Drawer Expands the Drawer revealing its contents. All users with access to the Cabinet that the drawer belongs to.
Search Allows users to restrict their search to documents located in the Drawer All users with access to the Drawer
Properties Displays the Drawer Properties. All users with access to the Drawer
Add Folder Allows user to add a folder to the drawer . Users with Publisher or higher access
Move Drawer Moves the drawer to a different Cabinet Library Administrators or System administrators only
Copy Drawer

Copies the Drawer and all folder groups, folders and documents it contains.

Library Administrators or System administrators only
Clone Drawer Structure Copies the Drawer and folder groups and folders it contains. Does not copy documents in the source Drawer. Library Administrators or System administrators only
Delete Drawer Deletes the Drawer and all items it contains. Library Administrators or System administrators only
