Print to FileHold
"Print to FileHold" allows the document management system users to convert their documents into PDF documents as they are being saved into the document management system.
Using Print to FileHold works just like printing a regular document to your printer. When the print dialog box appears users select “Send to FileHold” as the printer and continue the process as usual.
Instead of the document actually going to the printer a dialog box, “Add Document to FileHold”, appears prompting the user to save the item to FileHold. After the appropriate metadata is added and the folder destination selected the document will appear as a PDF in the document management system. Print to FileHold will only save documents to the FileHold when using Desktop Application and is not available in web client.
Documents saved in this manner may optionally require a password to open them and may or may not allow the users to perform various operations such as to copy or print the documents. The passwords and permissions for PDF’s created by “Print to FileHold” are configured by the person that installs “Print To FileHold” and cannot be changed. There are two levels of passwords; one is for the owner of the document and the other is for users of the system who are not the document owners. More advanced security features (copy, print etc.) can be set as part of the professional services purchased by customers in association with the Print to FileHold feature.
Print-to-FileHold is sold as an optional module of FileHold.
