Microsoft Office 2007 Troubleshooting

** Please ensure that you have .NET 3.5 Service Pack 1 or newer on your Windows XP Pro, Vista or Windows 7 Operating system where the FileHold Desktop Client application is installed.

If FileHold icons do not appear in the Add-ons ribbon of Microsoft Office 2007 then the “.NET Programmability Support” by Microsoft must be installed for each of the FileHold Office Client -supported MS Office 2007 applications.

If you do not see the FileHold icons in Outlook 2007 but see the toolbar in the add-ins ribbon appear in other MS Office 2007 applications, please make sure you have opened an actual Outlook email message and are looking for the add-ins toolbar. You will not see the Add-ins ribbon appear in the main Outlook 2007 application. The add-ins ribbon in Outlook 2007 only appears inside a message.

If the add-ins toolbar is missing in Outlook 2007, Excel 2007, Word 2007, PowerPoint 2007 or Visio 2007, then please go through the following procedure to install and enable .NET programmability support.

Activate .NET Programmability Support for MS Office 2007.

1.)     Going to Add or Remove Programs

2.)     Select the “Microsoft Office 2007” entry and click on Change.

3.)     Select the “Add or Remove Features” and click on Continue.

4.)     In the Installation Options, expand the node for each of the FOC-supported Office applications and enable the “.NET Programmability Support” option.

The FileHold Office Client (FOC) supported applications are Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio 2007

5.)     Click on Continue so that MS Office 2007 can install this option.

This will then bring in all of the FileHold menu options in every Office applications.

You may need to run a repair in add/remove programs for the FileHold Desktop Client to reinstall the Office integration if it was already installed.

You may also need to uninstall the Desktop Client and reinstall it completely to enable MS Office support.
