Logon and Password Security
Settings
The logon settings allow the System Administrator to manage
the number of logon attempts before the account is locked as well as time-out
settings for user sessions.
Note: Some settings in this form only apply to FileHold Managed Users
and not domain users synchronized with Active Directory. Domain user policies
are defined by the AD security policy defined by your organizations IT
group.
The settings page is accessible under the System
Administration > Users and Group Management > Logon and Password
Security menu option. From this form you will see you can set
the following;
Here you can set the number of logon attempts allowed by
a user account before the account is automatically disabled by FileHold.
As well you can set the timeout settings for all inactive user accounts.
The maximum time out session is 99 minutes of inactivity; after which
the user will be logged off. These settings apply for all users (locally
managed users or domain users)
For locally managed users you can set the number of characters
the password should contain, if the password should contain a number and
if the password can be re-used in the future. Finally, the password expiry
can be set. Again all of these password settings apply only to locally
managed user accounts..
