How do I Check in Files for Other User?


Sometimes users are away on vacation, have prolonged leave of absences or are no longer with the organization. They may have files that are checked out with version control and have not been released. This area of Library Administration allows administrators to search for users and remove the lock on the checked out file. This allows other users to then check out the file and resume the management of the document lifecycle.

  1. Click on the Library Administration > Library Utilities > Check-in for User menu option.
  2. You can now find and select the users you wish to check in documents for. Note, this simply releases the document in question from its checked out status.


  3. A list of files associated with this user appears and you can select one or more files and release them.
