FileHold Release Script for Kofax Ascent Capture Overview
FileHold provides an out-of-the-box integration with industry leading Kofax Ascent Capture scanning software with the FileHold Release Script for Ascent Capture. The following help article provides an overview of the release script along with system requirements, download and installation instructions. FileHold Release Script / Ascent Capture Integration Overview The FileHold release script integrates directly into the Kofax Ascent Capture release module allowing the controlled release of scanned documents from Kofax using the Kofax Scanning workflow engine. The release of documents from Kofax generates 2 things. First is an xml file that contains a listing of all documents scanned in the batch, the metadata tagged each document and a pointer to the storage location of the scanned document on the scan station. Second are the scanned documents themselves in whatever format they have been saved as (PDF, Word, TIFF, ,JPEG etc). Release Script System Requirements System Requirements for the Kofax Ascent Capture:
The FileHold Release Script requires Kofax Ascent Capture version 7.5
or greater running on Windows XP Pro.
Release Script Download & Installation Instructions Download the FileHold Release Script zip package HERE ( 500kb) The zip package contains 2 files FHXMLRelSetup and
setup.exe. Both files must be un-zipped to the same folder. Double click
on the setup.exe file to install the release script on the workstation
where the Kofax release module is installed.
