Cabinets, Drawers, and Folders Security

Synergy Document Management Software provides levels of security all the various levels of document storage - cabinets, drawers, folders and the individual documents themselves. It includes the following:

  •  only registered users can access Synergy
  •  permission to access the Documents application is controlled by the System Role a user is assigned to; see the section on Understanding System Roles and Workgroups for more information.
  •  the Library Administrator can control who has access to each Cabinet
  •  the owner of a folder can control who has permission to access the folder.

Note:  You can only grant users' access to a folder if they also have access to the Cabinet the folder is stored under. See your Library Administrator to change access rights to Cabinets.
